DR. ANGEL Q. YOINGCO on February 22, 2013 at the age of 91. Fondly remembered as the youngest Founding Member of the PSA, he was PSA President from 1983 to 1984. Married to the late Fe Torrente Yoingco, he led an active life in various capacities, notably:

This 2012, the Philippine Statistical Association (PSA) celebrates its 60th year of existence as a sole scientific society of professionals committed to the promotion of the proper use of statistics.

With the announcement of the schedule of activities for the 21st Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ), the National Statistics Office (NSO) and the Philippine Statistical Association (PSA) formally launched their search for the country's young statistics wizards. All Filipino first-time freshmen students currently enrolled during the second semester of the school year 2012-2013 in colleges and universities all over the country are invited to join the Quiz.
