PSA-CHED Teacher's Training in Nueva Viscaya State University

The Philippine Statistical Association in collaboration with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)  ran a 4-day intensive training course on “Teaching Basic Statistics for College Teachers” at Nueva Viscaya State University, Nueva Viscaya on April 29-May 2, 2008.

The Training Course aims to enhance the understanding of the participants on basic statistics concepts and methods with particular focus on inferential statistics and provide them with new approaches and strategies in teaching statistics effectively. It will be conducted through lectures using MS PowerPoint presentations, examples using real life data in the local setting demonstrating specific concepts that the trainees can use in their own classrooms and participative discussions for greater understanding of the subject matter.
