The Philippine Statistical Association Inc. will hold its Annual Meeting and Christmas Party on December 2, 2011 (Friday), 5:00 PM at the Philippine Social Science Center Auditorium, Commonwealth Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City, which features the usual year-end business meeting/General Assembly, election of 2012 Board of Directors, and the traditional Christmas Party. This event promises to be another showcase of unity, camaraderie, and the spirit of sharing in the giftedness of PSA members and colleagues in the statistics community. Details of the program will be sent over the next few days.

Nominations to the 2011 PSA Lifetime Achievement Award and PSA Outstanding Service Award are now being accepted by the PSA Search and Awards Committee. Deadline of submission of nominations is on 19 November 2011. Nominations may be sent either to the PSA office ( Room 214, Room 214, Philippine Social Science Center Bldg.,Commonwealth Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City 1101) or through email to lsbersales@gmail.com. The awards will be presented at the PSA Annual meeting and Christmas party on December 2, 2011.

The Philippine Statistical Association, Inc. (PSA) is honored to co-organize this two-day Conference with the Department of Tourism (DOT), an event that is highly significant as it promises to be mutually beneficial to both the statistical system and the tourism industry in the Philippines. The Conference coincides with the celebration of the World Tourism Day on September 27, 2011, and will also serve as a belated Anniversary celebration of the PSA which will have turned 59 years old by 24 September 2011.
